1st Shift | $19-21/hr, Based on Experience

Express Employment Professionals Cincinnati East is now hiring Assemblers for a manufacturing firm in Milford, OH.

What You Will Do

This production assembly position requires the ability to perform simple to complex processes depending on the product being assembled. Typically requires fitting, alignment, and adjustment of components, units, and assemblies to very close tolerances to complete mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies. At times may require working with parts or components which may be difficult to handle and other skills which require good dexterity. Hand and power tools are utilized to complete the assemblies. May utilize detailed blueprints, assembly sketches or other input documents of similar complexity.

Core Function/Responsibility

  • Installation of components to specifications, using various hand and power tools and equipment. Ensures that the parts provided match the drawings and the quality of the components product being assembled meet Quality Standards.
  • Interprets blueprints, Process Flow Instructions and other written or verbal instructions.
  • Accurately reports shop floor production data to Process or Team Lead for input to computer terminal and/or written reporting.
  • Follows both visual and written work instructions in order to complete assigned tasks within set time allotted.
  • Maintains quality and productivity standards.
  • Maintains equipment, including daily cleaning to maintain good housekeeping and adheres to plant regulations and safety rules.
  • Utilizes product travelers per standard operating procedures.
  • Supports other projects and performs duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience as an Assembler or General Laborer with prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with hand and power tools required.
  • Ability to read blueprints preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime when necessary.
  • Consistent work history.
  • Good attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to pass a post offer drug screen and background check.
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Ability to wear steel-toe shoes and safety glasses daily.

Experience

  • Assembly: 1 year (Required)
  • Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (Required)
  • Hand tools: 1 year (Required)
