We are searching for a Manager of Strategic Analytics who will be responsible for ensuring that our organization has access to the insights necessary to grow the business and operate effectively. This person will collaborate heavily with our Data Science and Data Engineering teams, as well as cross-functionally with all departments within Perpay. We are looking for someone to deliver key insights to drive business optimization, while simultaneously overseeing a team of analysts and empowering them to extract insights of their own. This opportunity is both unique and pivotal, as it provides the chance to contribute to and lead a rapidly growing team. This position will report directly to the VP of Risk & Analytics.

Initial Responsibilities

  • Lead a skilled team of analysts, coaching them in producing high quality insights and effective communications to the business
  • Contribute to establishing team goals, processes and career development opportunities
  • Generate key insights to help drive value, while becoming a subject matter expert in the business and its datasets
  • Help to build out the capabilities of our self-service analytics and business intelligence platform
  • Create, plan and own the execution for how your team will bring this to life
  • Collaborate with department heads across Perpay to ensure they have the most meaningful KPIs and monitoring available
  • Empower business stakeholders with the models, tools and data they need to accurately forecast the impact of business decisions on KPI performance

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative/technical field (Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, Engineering)
  • 5+ years in a hands-on data role
  • At least 2 years managing individuals
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to translate business problems into technical logic
  • Proven history of cross-functional collaboration on mission-critical projects
  • Solid communication skills with non-technical individuals, particularly around communicating complex results in an attainable fashion
  • Expertise using SQL for acquiring and transforming data (2+ years required)
  • Experience with data visualization tools e.g. Domo, Power BI, Tableau
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills
  • Working knowledge of ETL pipelines
  • Strong mathematical mindset

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience scaling business intelligence and self-service analytics, with a strong focus on actionability of insights
  • Strong familiarity with Event/Behavior analytics
  • Experience with object-oriented programming languages (Python preferred)
  • Experience with code reviews and version control
