Recon Technician I | Newtown, OH

Express Employment Professionals Cincinnati East is now hiring a Recon Technician for a production and fulfillment center in Newtown, OH. The Recon Technician must be able to perform reworks, repairs, and product enhancements under the supervision of the department manager. This role will support the company through various duties including, but not limited to, managing product returns, making product inventory available, making minor modifications to products, assembling finished goods into kits for resale, and packaging various fasteners for resale.
Core Functions/Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe working environment.
- Under the supervisor’s direction, test, repair, and make minor modifications to various tools and compressors.
- Prepare and complete source documents for labor and inventory transactions.
- Follow step-by-step instructions to complete department tasks promptly.
- Make product inventory available.
- Categorize problems with returned products.
- Communicate trends or repeated quality issues.
- Complete any other job responsibilities.
- Have flexibility to work in all Tool Department areas.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Able to effectively communicate with Co-Workers, Product Managers, Engineers, Quality Technicians, and Sales Representatives.
- Use of lift and hand trucks; training provided if needed.
- Must be able to work well in a team environment.
- Must be able to read and write.
- Must have a High School Diploma or the equivalent.
- Basic computer knowledge is required.
- Must be able to stand for 100%, lift, and bend for 75% of your entire shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs; lift is provided.
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and presses daily.
- Must be able to use both hands to diagnose and repair products.
- Must be able to meet the daily production quota.
- Must have at least one year of mechanical experience.
- Requires a high degree of mental concentration.
- Requires a high level for attention to detail.
- Must be able to stay on task with minimum supervision.
- Depending on company needs, you must be able to work overtime and weekends when asked.
