Maintenance Technician | Batavia, OH

1st Shift Training, 2nd Shift Regular Hours | $27+/hour

Express Employment Professionals Cincinnati East is now hiring to fulfill a Maintenance Technician for a recycling operation based out of Batavia, OH. This position is critical, to ensuring the efficiency and continuous operation of our recycling line, which consists of various conveyor belts, shaker decks, and sorting equipment. The ideal candidate must be a reliable, hands-on problems, silver, capable of working independently, an executing repairs, during none on operational hours.

Core Functions:

  • Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on C and D, recycling equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Install, repair, and maintain conveyor belts, police, and associated electric motors.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair, malfunctions and conveyor belts, shaker decks, and other materials sorting components.
  • Conduct daily check in with the Recycling Manager to receive a rundown of current operational issues and priorities.
  • Execute necessary repairs, and adjustments, primarily when the main recycling line is not in operation, to minimize downtime during business hours.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Document all maintenance, activities, repairs, and parts usage.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a heavy equipment, waste, or recycling environment.
  • Proficiency in the installation, maitnenance, repair of conveyor belts, pulleys, and associated electric motors.
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and safely in an industrial environment.
  • Able and willing to work in a non-climate-controlled environment/conditions.
  • Self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Schedule:

Onboarding & Training (approximately 2 weeks): Training Schedule: 1st Shift, Mon-Fri, 8am-4:30pm, with 30 minute lunch Objective: To become fully familiar with the recycling operations, line layout, and specific maintenance needs. Regular Shift (once training is complete): Shift: 2nd shift, Mon-Fri 1pm-9:30pm, with 30 minute unpaid lunch Environment: Work is performed in an unenclcosed facility that is not climate-controlled.
