Heavy Equipment Operator | Batavia, OH

1st Shift | $25+/hour

Express Employment Professionals Cincinnati East is now hiring to fulfill a Heavy Equipment Operator (HEO) for a recycling operation based out of Batavia, OH. This position is vital to the continuous operation of our recycling line. Equipment may include excavators, loaders, skid steers, mini excavators, grinders, and other diesel engine equipment. The HEO should also be capable of addressing small or routine maintenance and repair needs. The ideal candidate must be reliable, hands-on problems solver, capable of working independently and executing repairs.

Core Functions:

  • Operate excavators, loaders, skid steers, mini excavators, grinders, and other diesel engine equipment.
  • Perform basic routine or reactive maintenance on equipment as needed, and escalate to the maintenance teams as needed.
  • Complete daily and project tasks as outlined by team leads and management.
  • Conduct daily check in with the Recycling Manager to receive a rundown of current operational issues and priorities.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Document all operation and maintenance activities.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, preferably in a waste or recycling environment.
  • Understanding of basic equipment and diesel engine maintenance.
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and safely in an industrial environment.
  • Able and willing to work in a non-climate-controlled environment/conditions.
  • Self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Schedule & Pay:

Shift: 1st shift, Mon-Fri 7am-4pm with 1 hour unpaid lunch Pay: $25-$35/hour, based on experience
