Job Summary Express Employment Professionals are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Stone Cutter to join our client's stone fabrication team. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience in measuring, cutting, shaping, and finishing natural and engineered stone. This role requires precision, physical strength, and a strong understanding of fabrication tools and techniques. You will work closely with team members to produce high-quality stone components for residential and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities

Measure, cut, and shape stone slabs according to technical drawings and client specifications.

Operate stone-cutting machines and hand tools to ensure clean and accurate cuts.

Polish and finish stone surfaces to required texture and gloss.

Perform quality control checks on completed pieces to meet production standards.

Safely operate an overhead crane and JIB to move and position stone materials.

Store stone pieces securely on A-Frames and buggies for organization and transport.

Maintain tools and machines, and report issues or required maintenance promptly.

Keep the work area clean and follow all safety procedures and company policies.

Qualifications

Previous experience in stone cutting, fabrication, or a similar field is required.

Skilled in reading blueprints, measuring accurately, and working with natural stone.

Proficient with hand tools and stone fabrication equipment.

Ability to lift and handle heavy materials safely and effectively.

Comfortable working in a dusty, noisy environment with exposure to heavy machinery.

Valid forklift license with experience in material handling is an asset.
