Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Manual Boring Mill Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience operating manual boring mills and related machinery. This role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining manual boring mills to produce precision parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual boring mills to machine parts per engineering drawings.
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations.
• Select and install appropriate tooling and fixtures for each job.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure parts are being machined to specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience operating manual boring mills in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of machining processes and techniques.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators.
• Ability to perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of safety standards and practices in a machining environment.
• Forklift certification is an asset.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Work Status
