Job Overview As a Bridge Saw Operator, you will play a critical role in the fabrication process, operating a bridge saw to cut stone slabs according to project specifications. You will be responsible for ensuring that each cut is accurate and consistent, working with a variety of stone materials.

Duties

• Set up, operate, and manage the bridge saw to execute precise cutting and milling tasks in accordance with project specifications.
• Read and interpret engineering and technical drawings to ensure cuts are made accurately based on specified dimensions and production requirements.
• Collaborate with team members to efficiently fabricate and assemble products while adhering to established timelines and quality standards.
• Perform detailed quality inspections on finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and ensure they meet company standards.
• Identify and promptly address any defects or issues related to materials or the cutting processes to prevent delays or defects in the final product.
• Accurately label finished products and coordinate their safe storage, ensuring easy retrieval and proper organization.
• Operate overhead cranes and JIB to safely move and position stone slabs, storing them securely on A-frame buggies.
• Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment, ensuring that the bridge saw operates within GIP (Good Manufacturing Practices) guidelines, and report any operational issues in a timely manner.
• Strictly adhere to safety protocols, maintain a clean and organized work environment, and promote a culture of safety within the team.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Bridge Saw Operator or in a similar role within a stone fabrication environment.
• Strong ability to read and accurately interpret engineering and technical drawings, ensuring precise execution of project specifications.
• Extensive mechanical knowledge with proficiency in operating various types of machinery, including CNC equipment.
• Demonstrated experience in quality inspection, with a keen attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
• Familiarity with hand tools and advanced fabrication techniques specific to stonework, with a focus on precision and craftsmanship.
• Physical capability to safely lift, move, and handle heavy stone slabs and materials, adhering to proper safety protocols.
• Ability to work effectively in a fabrication shop environment, with exposure to dust, noise, and industrial machinery, while maintaining a high standard of safety and efficiency.
