Position Overview
We're hiring an experienced carpenter for a full-time, 1st shift position. You'll work on various construction projects requiring both framing and finish work expertise, with competitive pay at $18 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute construction and installation projects according to blueprints and specifications
- Perform precise framing and finish carpentry work to the highest standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and technical documents
- Measure, cut, and shape materials with accuracy and efficiency
- Install structural frameworks, fixtures, doors, windows, and trim with precision
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment and properly care for all tools
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other trades
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in framing and finish carpentry
- Strong blueprint reading abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Effective time management and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with power tools (circular saws, drills, sanders, nail guns, jigsaws)
- Expertise with hand tools (hammers, levels, tape measures, chisels, screwdrivers)
- Skill with measuring and layout tools (squares, laser levels, plumb bobs)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Capacity for prolonged standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders
- Dexterity for precise hand and arm movements during tool operation and material handling
- Tolerance for working in various environments (both indoor and outdoor), sometimes in extreme conditions
