Senior IT Procurement Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior IT Procurement Manager to lead and optimize our end-to-end IT procurement lifecycle. This role is ideal for someone with deep knowledge of IT vendor negotiations, software licensing models, and cloud service agreements. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience managing complex contracts, driving cost-saving initiatives, and building strong supplier partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the entire IT procurement process—from requirements gathering and RFPs to contract negotiation, execution, and vendor performance management.
• Spearhead contract negotiations across a broad IT portfolio, including:
  • Software licensing and SaaS subscriptions (enterprise agreements, perpetual licenses)
  • Cloud services such as IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS
  • Hardware purchases and IT maintenance/support agreements
  • Telecom, data networking, and infrastructure services
  • Managed services and IT consulting/professional services
• Develop and implement procurement and negotiation strategies that achieve the best possible terms, pricing, and service levels—especially for renewals.
• Draft and negotiate clear and enforceable Service Level Agreements (SLAs) that align with business objectives.
• Conduct market and spend analysis to uncover cost reduction opportunities and value-added services.
• Partner closely with Legal, IT, Finance, and other internal teams to ensure contract compliance and risk mitigation.
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, resolving performance issues and disputes with urgency and diplomacy.
• Continuously improve procurement policies and best practices for greater efficiency.
• Stay updated on emerging technology trends, market dynamics, and IT procurement innovations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in IT procurement, with a focus on strategic sourcing and vendor negotiations.
• Strong expertise in:
  • Software licensing models and SaaS/cloud contract negotiations
  • IT contract law, risk mitigation, and SLA development
  • Vendor management and supplier performance evaluation
• Proficiency with ERP and procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa).
• Advanced analytical and negotiation skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) are a plus.
