CNC Lathe Set up / Operator

$22 to $25 based on experience
We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Operator to run our extra-large, heavy-duty lathes for precision machining of industrial components. This hands-on role requires strong technical skills and the ability to handle machines of substantial size.
CNC Lathe Operator Duties:
- Set up and program CNC lathes from blueprints
- Operate extra-large capacity CNC lathes
- Edit and optimize lathe programs for maximum efficiency
- Calculate tolerances and dimensions within precise specifications
- Measure parts accurately using inspection tools like dial calipers
- Troubleshoot programs and make offsets as needed
- Perform machine maintenance and adjustments
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CNC Lathe Operator, preferably on large lathes
- Proficiency in CNC lathe programming
- Strong math skills and foundation in geometry/trigonometry
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
- Experience with production machining and tight tolerances
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to work any shift (rotating shifts)
