Job Title: CNC Programmer
Location: Springfield OH
Job Type: Full-Time

Pay Range: $27/hour or higher for more experience

About Us:
We’re a fast-paced, precision-focused job shop specializing in short to medium-run production using mostly CNC lathes and some mills. We're looking for a hands-on, experienced CNC Programmer who can take ownership of the full machining process — from CAD/CAM programming to tooling, scheduling, and on-machine troubleshooting.

Job Summary

As our CNC Programmer, you’ll use integrated CAD/CAM software to program a wide range of parts, primarily for CNC lathes with some mill work. You’ll be responsible for selecting and sourcing tooling, planning and scheduling jobs, and supporting production on the shop floor. This is a key role for someone who enjoys both the technical and hands-on sides of machining.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program CNC lathes (primary) and mills (secondary) using CAD/CAM software (e.g., Fusion 360, Mastercam, SolidCAM, or similar)
  • Design and modify part models and toolpaths as needed
  • Select and purchase appropriate tooling and inserts
  • Plan and schedule production runs based on deadlines and resources
  • Assist with setups and troubleshoot at the machine to ensure quality and efficiency
  • Continuously optimize programs for better cycle times and tool life
  • Maintain documentation of programs, tooling, and setup sheets

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of CNC programming experience in a job shop environment
  • Proficient in CAD/CAM software for turning and milling (Fusion 360, Mastercam, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, feeds/speeds, and materials
  • Comfortable troubleshooting mechanical and program-related issues at the machine
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing time and workflow independently

Preferred:

  • Experience with live tooling or multi-axis turning centers
  • Familiarity with solid modeling and drawing interpretation
  • Exposure to lean manufacturing or production planning tools

What We Offer

  • Competitive pay based on experience
  • Health benefits, 401(k), and paid time off
  • A supportive, flexible work environment
  • The chance to take ownership of your work and see projects through from design to final part
