Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

This position offers a dynamic work environment where your problem-solving skills and logistics expertise will directly impact the efficiency of island-wide supply chains. As a Dispatcher, you will coordinate daily freight forwarding shipments, manage driver routes, and serve as the central hub of communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Routing & Scheduling: Plan and adjust routes for LCL (Less than Container Load) and FAK (Freight of All Kind) based on priority and capacity.
- Driver Management: Dispatch and check in drivers daily; manifest route sequences and assign tractors/trailers.
- Operational Oversight: Monitor driver progress in real-time, proactively resolving delays, breakdowns, or missed pickups.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records including trip details, fuel records, mileage logs, and OS&D reports.
- Compliance: Verify adherence to DOT regulations, safety standards, and hours-of-service (HOS) rules.
- Tech Integration: Use TMS software to update customer movement data and track assets.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years of container dispatch or local island logistics experience preferred.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Dispatch/TMS software and GPS tracking.
- Certifications: Valid driver’s license required; ability to obtain a DOT medical card (non-CDL). Hazardous Materials Certification is a plus!
- Communication: Strong verbal and written skills; ability to coordinate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams.
