Job Description
We have been asked by a client in Fishers, IN to help them find an Installation and Assembly Technician. In this role, you will travel to homes and businesses assembling furniture, shelving, playsets, fixtures, and other products. If you're handy, mechanically inclined, comfortable using a variety of tools, and take pride in doing quality work, we'd like to hear from you.
Pay, Schedule & Benefits
- $20.00 - $23.00 per hour, based on experience
- Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire
- Core hours are typically 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
- Occasional evening and weekend work based on customer needs
- Company vehicle provided
- Company tools and equipment provided
- Company apparel and safety equipment provided

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
What will you do as an Installation and Assembly Technician?
- Assemble furniture, shelving, fixtures, playsets, and other products.
- Read and follow assembly instructions and diagrams.
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Inspect parts and identify missing or damaged components.
- Travel to customer locations throughout the workday.
- Complete work accurately, thoroughly, and efficiently.
- Keep work areas clean and organized.
- Protect customers' homes, businesses, and property while working.
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
- Complete job documentation using a smartphone or tablet.
- Ensure customers are satisfied with the finished product.
Qualifications
What qualifications will you have as an Installation and Assembly Technician?
- Experience in assembly, carpentry, handyman work, construction, installation, maintenance, or another skilled trade.
- Comfortable using a wide range of hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and follow instructions and diagrams.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Good customer service and communication skills.
- Professional, respectful, and dependable.
- Takes pride in quality workmanship and attention to detail.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to safely lift and maneuver up to 120 pounds.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check.
