We have been asked by a client moving their warehouse operations to Westfield, IN to help them find a Shipping and Receiving Associate / Material Handler. In this role, you will help establish a new warehouse operation by setting up shipping and receiving processes, organizing inventory storage systems, assembling racks and shelving, managing incoming and outgoing parts shipments, and supporting the launch of a new distribution location.
Compensation, Schedule & Benefits
- Pay: $20.00 per hour
- Schedule: 30–35 hours per week to start, then full-time 40 hours per week when the facility is up and running
- Monday: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Tuesday – Thursday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Friday: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Help establish and organize a new warehouse operation
- Assemble and set up warehouse racks, shelving, pallets, bins, and storage areas
- Label and organize inventory locations to ensure efficient parts management
- Receive incoming shipments from multiple distribution locations
- Load, unload, and move materials using a sit-down forklift
- Sort, organize, and store products and materials accurately
- Prepare and ship parts and components to customers worldwide
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving documentation
- Utilize warehouse management and inventory systems, including JD Edwards
- Assist with process improvements as the facility prepares for launch
- Support training of future team members as operations expand
Qualifications
- Experience working in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment
- Previous shipping and receiving experience preferred
- Sit-down forklift experience required with current forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
- Ability to assemble and organize warehouse storage systems, racks, and shelving
- Comfortable loading, unloading, and handling a wide variety of parts and materials
- Strong organizational and inventory management skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
- Willingness to help train and support others
- Basic computer skills; JD Edwards experience is a plus
- Ability to lift, move, and handle warehouse materials safely
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
