Automotive Technician – A or B Level

Job Description

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a highly experienced A or B-Level Automotive Technician for a company in the Hueytown/Bessemer area. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of professional automotive repair experience, advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to perform quality repairs independently.

This position is ideal for an experienced technician with a strong mechanical background who can diagnose complex vehicle issues, perform repairs efficiently, and maintain high standards of workmanship.

Job Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues across various vehicle makes and models.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting on engines, transmissions, suspension, steering, braking, and electrical systems.
• Utilize diagnostic scanners, testing equipment, and technical resources to identify and resolve vehicle issues.
• Perform engine repairs, component replacements, and other major mechanical repairs as needed.
• Complete vehicle inspections and accurately identify recommended repairs.
• Perform routine maintenance and preventative service when required.
• Ensure all repairs are completed accurately, efficiently, and according to industry standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Work independently while maintaining productivity and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of professional automotive repair experience required.
• Proven experience as an A-Level or B-Level Automotive Technician.
• Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and repair procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair complex vehicle issues with minimal supervision.
• Hands-on experience with engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, and electrical systems.
• Proficiency with automotive diagnostic tools, shop equipment, and hand and power tools.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• ASE certifications are a plus.
