A CDL A driver is a professional truck driver licensed to operate large commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers and semi-trucks. These drivers are responsible for transporting goods over long distances, often across state lines, while adhering to strict safety and transportation regulations. Their duties include inspecting vehicles before and after trips, securing cargo, planning routes, and maintaining accurate logs of hours and mileage. A successful CDL A driver must have excellent driving skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to stay focused for long hours on the road. They also need good communication and time management skills to coordinate with dispatchers and ensure timely deliveries. Schedule & Pay
FULL TIME
- SCHEDULE VARIES: Primarily run same-day routes (90%) with occasional overnight trips; no extended long-haul driving required
- Pay is based on driving experience and skill set
- Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
