CDL A/B Vacuum Truck Operator

Location: Birmingham, AL Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious CDL A or B Vacuum Truck Operator in Birmingham, AL.

This is a hands-on position combining commercial driving with industrial field work. Operators will assist with vacuum truck operations, industrial cleaning, environmental services, and municipal maintenance projects.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and operate industrial vacuum trucks
• Set up and handle vacuum hoses, pumps, and related equipment
• Perform required DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Transport materials to approved disposal locations
• Assist with industrial cleaning and other hands-on field work
• Follow all company, DOT, and job-site safety procedures
• Work closely with field technicians and supervisors
• Travel to regional job sites as needed

Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A or Class B required
• Vacuum truck, hydro excavation, industrial, or similar experience preferred but not required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical outdoor work
• Must pass required DOT drug screen and physical
• Acceptable background check and MVR
• Willingness to work overtime, travel, or on-call shifts as needed

This is not a driving-only position. Candidates must be comfortable performing physical, hands-on work in addition to driving.
