Here's What Your Day-to-Day Looks Like:

A typical day for a CNC (Computer Numerical Control) operator involves setting up and operating machines that cut, shape, and finish metal or plastic parts according to precise specifications. The day often starts with reviewing work orders, blueprints, and setup sheets to understand the job requirements. The operator loads materials into the machine, installs tools, and ensures the correct program is loaded into the CNC system. Throughout the day, they monitor the machine's operation, make adjustments as needed, and inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure quality standards are met. Routine maintenance, cleaning, and logging production data are also key parts of their responsibilities.

Schedule & Pay:

FULL TIME; Mon-Fri 10pm-6am

  • Shift and schedule vary, one week will be 48 hours (OT) and one week will be 36 hours
  • Willingness to work overtime if needed, including weekends
  • $20-22/hr

  • Proficient with tape measures, feeler gauges, and dial indicator thickness gauges
  • Understands temperature set-points, RPMs, and line speeds (ft/min, m/min)
  • Experienced in setting up, starting, and running machines
  • Maintains raw materials, keeps equipment clean, and performs basic maintenance
  • Monitors machine operations and HMI screens for defects or issues
  • Performs quality control tests and completes production reports
  • Assists with material grinding and recycling
  • Basic mechanical and computer skills
  • Detail-oriented, observant, and process-aware
  • Strong team player with good communication
  • Practices safe, organized work habits
  • Physically capable of standing for shifts, moving around equipment, and lifting 75+ lbs
  • Follows instructions well; drug-free and able to pass a background check
  • Able to physically do the work and meet physical requirements
  • Must have reliable and timely transportation
  • Good work ethic; punctual & dependable; take pride in your work
  • Good teamwork and communication skills
  • Steel toed boots recommended but not required
