Job Title: Fabrication Supervisor
Location: Client Company – North America
Reports To: Plant Manager
Pay Range: $23 – $28+ per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)
Job Type: Full-Time, Hourly
Job Summary
The Fabrication Supervisor plays a key role in supporting our client’s fabrication operations by providing leadership, technical guidance, and oversight of the fabrication team. This role is responsible for ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency while meeting customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Safety
- Ensure all employees follow PPE requirements and safe work practices, including forklift operation and material handling.
- Support the plant’s safety improvement program by identifying hazards and resolving unsafe conditions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Quality
- Collaborate with maintenance and plant employees to ensure equipment is properly maintained for quality output.
- Train operators on equipment operation, production procedures, packaging, labeling, and product storage.
- Investigate customer claims, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure all required paperwork (shift pass-down forms, production/quality logs) is completed daily.
Inventory Control & Organization
- Maintain inventory accuracy in SAP through proper daily transfers and weekly cycle counts.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Ensure materials and products are well-organized and accessible.
Production
- Act as the technical lead for equipment operation and adjustments, including roll-to-roll punch/perforating machines and CNC machines.
- Serve as the lead programmer and operator for CNC cutting machines, including uploading CAD drawings.
- Manage the Asana Fab Queue to ensure timely completion of customer orders.
- Coordinate with maintenance for equipment repairs and preventative maintenance.
Cost Management
- Monitor and manage overtime to control labor costs.
- Partner with maintenance to manage costs for spare tooling and machine parts.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years’ leadership experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Hands-on experience with CNC cutting machines, including programming 2-D shapes and working with CAD files.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or significant industrial experience strongly preferred.
- Strong technical skills with the ability to perform minor equipment and tooling repairs.
- Proficiency in computer systems and software (SAP, Asana, Skype, etc.).
