Lathe Operator – Full-Time Location: Birmingham, AL **Pay: **Starting at $20/hour for entry-level candidates – higher pay dependent on experience

What Your Day-to-Day Looks Like: As a Lathe Operator, you’ll be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining lathes to shape metal, wood, or plastic components. You’ll read blueprints, select the right tools, adjust machine settings, and inspect finished products to ensure everything meets precise specifications. This role is key in producing high-quality parts used across industries like manufacturing, automotive, and aerospace.

Schedule & Pay: Full-time | Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Overtime available and may be required

Pay: $20/hour for entry-level candidates – based on experience

What Makes YOU a Great Fit: Mechanical Aptitude – You understand how machines work and how different materials react during machining.

Precision & Attention to Detail – You’re comfortable working with tight tolerances and ensuring accuracy in every part.

Blueprint Reading – You can read and interpret technical drawings, dimensions, and machining symbols.

Math Skills – Basic math, geometry, and trigonometry help you calculate feeds, speeds, and dimensions.

Manual Dexterity – You have good hand-eye coordination and steady hands for working with tools and machinery.

Problem-Solving – You're quick to identify and fix machine or process issues.

Computer Literacy – Familiarity with CNC machines or digital controls is a plus.

Safety-Minded – You understand the importance of following safety protocols in a shop environment.
