Industrial Electrician

Pay: $32.00 per hour Job Type: Full-Time Industry: Mining / Aggregate / Industrial

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems and equipment throughout an active plant operation. This position will work with electrical systems up to 440 volts, with a significant focus on maintaining and troubleshooting crushers and related plant equipment.

The ideal candidate will have strong industrial electrical troubleshooting skills and be comfortable working hands-on in a heavy industrial environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical problems throughout the plant
• Work safely with electrical systems and equipment up to 440 volts
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues involving crushers and crusher-related equipment
• Perform electrical maintenance on plant machinery, motors, controls, and related equipment
• Identify electrical failures and determine the appropriate repairs
• Perform preventive electrical maintenance to reduce equipment downtime
• Repair or replace defective electrical components and wiring
• Inspect equipment and electrical systems for potential problems
• Test equipment following repairs to ensure safe and proper operation
• Use hand tools, power tools, electrical testing equipment, and other maintenance tools
• Assist with equipment breakdowns and emergency repairs
• Work alongside maintenance personnel to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment issues
• Climb ladders and access plant machinery as necessary to complete repairs
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Perform additional plant maintenance duties as needed
• Follow all company and MSHA safety requirements

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Industrial Electrician, Plant Electrician, Maintenance Electrician, or similar role
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial electrical equipment
• Ability to safely work with electrical systems up to 440 volts
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Experience working with crushers, aggregate equipment, mining equipment, or similar heavy industrial machinery is highly preferred
• Ability to troubleshoot motors, wiring, controls, and other plant electrical components
• Comfortable using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment
• Ability to work independently and respond to equipment breakdowns
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
• Experience in a mining, quarry, aggregate, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environment is a plus

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk, climb ladders, bend, reach, twist, and work around large plant equipment
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions
• Must be comfortable working around active heavy machinery
• Must be able to visually observe equipment and respond to audible work and safety signals
• Some plant maintenance work may require working at elevated heights

Work Environment

This position works in an active mining/aggregate plant environment. Conditions may include exposure to dust, noise, fuel fumes, welding gases, outdoor weather conditions, and seasonal temperature extremes.

Employees must remain aware of moving equipment and follow all required plant and MSHA safety procedures.

Pay: $32.00 per hour
