We have been asked by a Mower Equipment Distributor and Repair Shop in Fishers, IN to help them find a Small Engine Mower Technician. In this role you will repair, maintain, and assemble riding mowers, push mowers, and other lawn and garden equipment while working in a supportive team environment.

Pay, Hours, and Schedule

Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
Status: Evaluation hire with the opportunity for permanent employment

What will you do as a Small Engine Mower Technician?

  • Perform repairs and routine maintenance on riding mowers, push mowers, and miscellaneous lawn and garden equipment
  • Assemble new equipment as needed
  • Replace spark plugs, change oil, replace filters, and install new or replacement blades (full training provided)
  • Use basic data entry to look up parts in the internal system
  • Follow detailed processes to ensure repairs are completed correctly the first time

What qualifications will you have as a Small Engine Mower Technician?

  • Knowledge of small engines and strong mechanical aptitude
  • Willingness to learn—no certification required (the company helps pay for certifications)
  • Detail-oriented mindset and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to perform hands-on mechanical tasks and equipment assembly
  • Basic computer skills for part lookups
