Equipment Operator – Scrap Metal Yard

Pay: $20+ per hour | Full-Time | Overtime Opportunities

We are looking for a dependable, hardworking Equipment Operator to join our team! This position involves working with scrap metal, operating heavy equipment, and helping keep the yard running safely and efficiently.

What You’ll Do:

• Operate heavy equipment to move, sort, and handle scrap metal.
• Perform some driving as part of daily operations.
• Clean, grease, inspect, and perform basic maintenance on your equipment.
• Assist with hands-on yard work and other tasks as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

What We’re Looking For:

• A strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all types of weather.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the day.
• Willingness to learn and take direction.
• Previous heavy equipment operating experience is a plus, but not required. We are willing to train the right person!

What to Expect:

• Consistent 40-hour workweeks.
• Opportunities for overtime.
• Starting pay of $20+ per hour, depending on experience.
• A hands-on job where you’ll be working both on and off the equipment.

Important: This is a physically demanding, outdoor job. You will not spend all day sitting in the cab of a machine. You must be willing to get your hands dirty, work hard, and help wherever needed.
