Job Summary: As a Retail Paint Sales Associate at a Benjamin Moore authorized retailer, you will be the primary point of contact for customers seeking expert guidance on paint products, color selection, and project advice. Your role involves delivering outstanding service, product knowledge, and technical support to both DIY customers and professional painters, ensuring the Benjamin Moore brand’s commitment to quality and excellence.

Key Responsibilities: Customer Service: Greet customers, assess their needs, and provide tailored recommendations on paint, coatings, stains, and supplies.

Product Knowledge: Maintain thorough knowledge of Benjamin Moore products, including Aura®, Regal® Select, ben®, Advance®, and color tools.

Color Matching & Mixing: Operate computerized color matching systems and tinting equipment accurately.

Sales Support: Assist customers with purchases, suggest add-on products (brushes, primers, rollers), and close sales effectively.

Inventory Management: Restock shelves, manage inventory levels, and assist with product ordering and receiving.

Merchandising: Keep the sales floor clean, organized, and visually appealing. Help implement in-store promotions or displays.

Technical Advice: Offer guidance on surface preparation, application methods, and product selection for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

Professional Outreach: Build relationships with local contractors, designers, and builders; may include processing contractor accounts or special orders.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to ensure smooth store operations and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

4-5 years of prior retail experience, especially in paint or home improvement

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Basic computer and POS system proficiency

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Willingness to learn technical product details and color theory

Previous experience with Benjamin Moore products is must.
