We have been asked by a client in Kokomo, IN to help them find Plant Setup Laborers. In this role, you will assist with setting up a new manufacturing facility by removing packaging and crating from equipment, helping move machinery into place, and serving as a spotter for equipment deliveries to ensure a safe and efficient plant startup.
Pay, Schedule & Benefits
- Pay: $17.00 per hour
- Schedule: Monday-Friday
- Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Immediate start available
- Weekly pay
- Full-time hours
- Day shift with weekends off
- Valuable manufacturing and facility setup experience
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
What will you do as a Plant Setup Laborer?
- Remove packaging, crating, and protective materials from equipment using a Sawzall and hand tools
- Assist with unloading, moving, and positioning equipment throughout the facility
- Act as a spotter for trucks transporting equipment into the plant
- Support the installation and setup of machinery and work areas
- Follow all safety procedures while working around heavy equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Work with team members to ensure setup activities are completed on schedule
Qualifications
What qualifications will you have as a Plant Setup Laborer?
- Ability to safely use a Sawzall and basic hand tools
- Ability to lift, move, and handle materials and equipment as needed
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical labor throughout the shift
