A digital printing company dedicated to the Architectural, Construction, and Graphic Design community. Specializing in reprographic production along with our large and small format graphics capabilities, we offer a printing solution for everyone with quality as our main focus.

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
To produce a quality product, using accuracy and efficiency standards, that fulfills the needs of the client while supporting the company’s mission as well as department goals.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Follows printing procedures and work order requests
  • Operates equipment and software to maximize efficiency and productivity
  • Effectively communicates with others
  • Maintains adequate equipment requirements, i.e. paper, inks, laminates
  • Controls cost/waste of materials
  • Performs daily equipment maintenance
  • Available M-F; 8-5
  • Supports other team members
  • Follows the handbook guidelines

MINOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Keep area/workstations clean and organized
  • Cross-train to support other production areas

KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Basic computer skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Able to tolerate chemical based cleaning solutions, applicators, and UV inks
  • Use cutting knives and replacement blades
  • Able to lift 50lbs
  • Standing all day
  • Able to deal with stress

JOB KNOWLEDGE

  • Understands what we do and why we do it
  • Understands and utilizes Onyx/Zund/Corebridge softwares
  • Understands materials, media sizes, square foot conversions, and equipment operation
  • Understands the workflow process, all stages of an order, from beginning to end
  • Understands the handbook guidelines
  • Follows the Dress code policy
  • No cell phone usage or texting on the production floor or at workstations

QUALITY

  • Prints should be clean in appearance; color match/no banding/smudges/wrinkles/scratches etc.
  • Produced to match the work order specifics; material/sizes/quantities/finishes/extras
  • Cut neatly with smooth edges
  • Finished with no laminate lifting/bubbles/debris
  • Extra hardware requests should be included as part of QC; stand-off/vhb tape/Velcro etc.
  • Packaging should be neat and secured appropriately protecting contents, using as little tape as possible
  • Billing should be accurate to include correct codes and billing totals
  • Maintains a positive attitude and professional demeanor
  • No food allowed/eating on the CPU stands or working tables

PRODUCTIVITY

  • Remains in work area, unless on break (breaks are to be taken outside of the production area and at the supervisor’s discretion; to equal 15mins daily)
  • Releases orders for printing in a timely manner
  • Consistently meets deadlines, completing orders in the allotted time
  • Stays focused/Not easily distracted
  • Works with urgency while maintaining quality
  • Cross trains in other areas/Assists others when needed
  • Keeps area clean and organized (weekly cleaning of equipment/cpu stand, and removal of trash daily)
  • Keep paper and bindery shelves clean and organized daily
  • Self-motivated

EFFICIENCY

  • QC’s themselves accurately
  • Minimal errors
  • Controls waste/time; QC’s prints to verify color, alignment, and other misc. settings BEFORE being laminated or Zund cut if requested. Visually monitors equipment while printing to ensure continued print quality
  • Needs little supervision
  • Communicates problems/issues effectively
  • Ask questions when needed
  • Follows instructions

DEPENDABILITY

  • Arrives to work on time
  • Limited absences
  • Schedules time off according to the guidelines in the handbook
  • Manages his/her timecard effectively and accurately
