A CPA firm in the Birmingham area is hiring for a Receptionist / Admin. They offer high-quality and knowledgeable corporate tax and accounting services. They are QuickBooks certified and have been in business for over 35 years. Their mission is to provide clients with high-quality professional services in a timely and cost-effective fashion.

Here's What Your Day-to-Day Looks Like

Responsibilities

  • Act as key liaison for the company, providing excellent customer service
  • Answer, screen and forward incoming calls
  • Receive, sort and distribute mail/deliveries
  • Order office/kitchen supplies and keep inventory of stock

Other Duties May Include

  • Scheduling exchange of documents with clients, both in person and via electronic platforms
  • Process and organize tax documents - requires organization and attention to detail
  • Assemble tax returns, both paper and electronically – develop an understanding of federal, state, and local tax return types
  • Deliver returns to clients, both in person and via electronic platforms
  • Coordinate office activities and operations to maintain maximum efficiency
  • Support professional staff as necessary

Qualifications

  • 5 years of Receptionist experience required.
  • Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Experience using Adobe.
  • Ability to handle the occasional tense customer situation in order to provide the best outcome to all involved.
  • Aptitude to learn new applications and perform work electronically, as well as use paper media when necessary; strong computer skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Related work experience a plus but not necessary.
  • Internally motivated with a positive attitude.

Schedule & Pay

  • FULL TIME; Mon-Fri, 8:00am-5:00pm
  • $16-22/hr DOE
