Job Summary: We’re looking for a hands-on Concierge Team Lead to supervise and guide a team of day-shift concierges on a local college campus. This leadership role blends team coordination with active cleaning responsibilities and customer service. The ideal candidate has prior experience in custodial work and a proven record of leadership in a facilities, janitorial, or service-oriented setting. You’ll be responsible for directing day-to-day team operations, training new staff, distributing keys, ensuring quality standards are met, and providing support where needed—including driving a golf cart around campus. This is a boots-on-the-ground role for someone who leads by example, communicates clearly, and keeps standards high.
Here's What Your Day-to-Day Looks Like: Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, support, and lead the daily activities of the concierge team
- Onboard and offboard team members; train on cleaning procedures and protocols
- Assign tasks, distribute keys and supplies, and monitor team performance
- Provide hands-on support for cleaning duties: vacuuming, dusting, restroom restocking, sweeping, and general upkeep
- Drive a golf cart around campus for supply runs, inspections, or team check-ins
- Serve as the point of contact for special requests from campus coordinators
- Ensure all team members follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, welcoming environment
- Monitor and close daily work orders; communicate updates to Facilities Supervisor
- Maintain a professional, friendly presence across campus and foster a positive team culture
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in custodial, janitorial, or facility maintenance work is required
- Prior team lead or supervisory experience is strongly preferred
- Ability to lead, instruct, and coach a diverse team with confidence and accountability
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record (MVR will be run)
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor for extended periods if needed.
- Customer-service orientation and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Willingness to work occasional weekends for campus events if needed
Schedule & Pay:
- Reports To: Facilities Supervisor
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Occasional weekends as needed
- Pay: $20/hr during training via Express Employment, increasing to $22–$23/hr upon permanent hire
- Status: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire
- Driving Requirement: Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving history (MVR required)
