Job Summary: A pharmaceutical manufacturing company located in Birmingham, AL is looking for a Training Coordinator for their Quality Assurance Department.

Position: The Training Coordinator is responsible for managing and maintaining the employee training program to ensure compliance with cGMP, GDP, and FDA regulatory requirements. This role oversees training assignments, documentation, and reporting, while supporting onboarding and annual training initiatives. The Training Coordinator works cross-functionally to ensure all personnel are trained, qualified, and current in their required programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Regularly audit training files to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain training modules (e.g., OJT, Change Control, CAPA, Deviations, Complaints).
  • Create and administer OJT programs, quizzes, and tests to assess knowledge and competency.
  • Assign required trainings to employees and monitor completion status.
  • Pull training metrics and prepare monthly compliance reports.
  • Support onboarding of new employees by coordinating initial training requirements.
  • Assist in planning and facilitating annual GMP/GDP training sessions.
  • Provide training coordination support across different departments as needed.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (science, education, or related discipline).
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in training coordination, quality, or compliance role within an FDA-regulated environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of cGMP, GDP, and FDA compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and training/eQMS platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

Schedule:

  • FULL TIME; Monday-Friday, 8:00-5:00 with overtime offered
