We have been asked by a client in Carmel, IN to help them find two Construction Assistants. In this role you will support the construction manager and customer care manager with job-site tasks, cleanup, material handling, equipment operation, and general construction support across residential building projects.
Pay, Hours, and Benefits
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Hours/Shift: Full-time, Monday–Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm, with occasional variations based on project needs

What will you do as a Construction Assistant?
- Assist the construction manager with punch lists
- Assist the customer care manager with 30-day and 1-year customer care checkups
- Complete general tasks as assigned by the construction manager
- Load and unload construction materials
- Lift heavy loads up to 50 lbs. and perform physical activities such as climbing, lifting, walking, stooping, and handling materials
- Operate and care for construction equipment such as power washers, generators, and ladders
- Assist with occasional digging of holes or trenches for job-site preparation
- Maintain a clean job site by picking up debris, tools, and equipment
- Maintain and clean the work truck
What qualifications will you have as a Construction Assistant?
- High school diploma or GED required
- Knowledge of residential home construction preferred but not required
- Must be handy with tools and able to use basic construction equipment
- Reliable transportation - you will meet at construction sites
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
- Ability to perform physical labor and strenuous tasks
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Motivated self-starter who can work with minimal supervision; punctual and reliable
