Position Summary

The Forklift/Warehouse Associate is responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise within the warehouse. This position also includes general warehouse duties such as shipping, receiving, order picking, and inventory control to ensure efficient and accurate movement of goods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Load, unload, move, and stage products and materials using forklifts or by hand.
  • Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods against packing slips or purchase orders.
  • Maintain organized storage areas and ensure products are properly labeled and stored.
  • Conduct routine equipment checks and report maintenance needs.
  • Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and warehouse procedures.
  • Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and general housekeeping duties.
  • Support team operations and perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • 1+ year of experience in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Basic computer and inventory system skills (RF scanners experience a plus).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or in a team.
