General Labor - Asphalt Paving & Construction
1st Shift | $18.00/hour | Full-time

Job Summary

General Labor position with an established asphalt paving company. Hands-on role supporting paving operations, site preparation, and heavy equipment operation. Outdoor work environment with opportunities to learn construction skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Rake, shovel, and level asphalt for quality paving projects
• Load and unload materials and tools at job sites
• Assist with site preparation and clean-up of paving projects
• Operate heavy machinery as assigned and trained
• Support paving crew with additional duties assigned by foreman/supervisor
• Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition

Physical Requirements

• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and crouch for extended periods throughout shift
• Sit for long periods while operating heavy construction equipment
• Lift, push, pull, and carry up to 40 pounds regularly
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions year-round
• Physical stamina for a demanding construction environment

Qualifications

• Construction or general labor experience preferred but not required
• Reliable transportation to various job sites
• Strong work ethic and ability to follow supervisor instructions
• Team player attitude for crew-based projects
• Willingness to learn heavy equipment operation
• Safety-focused approach to construction work
