The Opportunity
We are seeking a driven and sales-minded Inside Sales Consultant to join the team. This role is ideal for someone with prior home services sales experience who is eager to build strong client relationships, generate and nurture leads, and grow into a Senior Inside Sales Consultant position.
Unlike high-traffic retail sales roles, this position requires proactivity and independence—generating your own leads, following up consistently, and building trust with potential clients over time. Success in this role means balancing showroom responsibilities with outbound sales activity, cold calling, and lead nurturing.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in the showroom, representing the company with professionalism.
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and maintain an organized reception/showroom.
- Support the Senior Inside Sales Consultant with walk-ins, slab approvals, quoting, and scheduling.
- Learn to qualify leads and manage them within the company’s CRM system.
- Generate new leads through cold calling, outreach emails, and social media engagement.
- Nurture leads through multiple touchpoints—building trust, providing education, and offering design/sales support without a pushy approach.
- Consistently work toward sales KPIs and revenue targets.
- Provide input and feedback to management to improve sales strategies and operations.
Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s & Expectations):
- Achieve $500K in revenue in the first year (avg. $4,500–$5,500 per job).
- Maintain a 40–45% close rate by nurturing quality leads.
- Consistently manage at least 4 active quotes with 4 qualified leads--don't worry, some of these come organically into the sales department!
- Engage in 16+ prospect/client conversations weekly (calls, emails, or in-person).
- Convert walk-ins (approx. 5 per day) and follow up diligently.
- Execute outbound outreach: cold calls, email templates, and social media prospecting.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of proven sales experience in home services (required).
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
- Highly motivated, organized, and goal-oriented.
- Ability to work independently and consistently hit activity/sales targets.
- Professional integrity and strong work ethic.
Compensation & Growth
- Base Salary: $800/week (paid weekly).
- Commission: 10% of gross profit from sales.
- First-Year Earnings Potential: $50K–$60K (based on hitting $500K in revenue).
- Growth Opportunity: Top performers earning closer to $1M in sales can expect $80K–$90K+.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts. *Will be rotating weekends.
- In-person role at the Birmingham showroom.
