Industrial Maintenance Technician | Georgetown, OH
1st Shift | $17-21/hour
Express Employment Professionals Cincinnati East is now hiring an Industrial Maintenance Processor/Technician for a recycling facility in Georgetown, OH.
Core Functions
- Assist the Recycling Center Directors with daily plant operations which includes the following duties:
- Direct, coordinate, and supervise staff, Department of Jobs and Family Services participants, and Community Service workers on specific tasks as assigned.
- Create an efficient and effective workplace.
- Maintain records of paid and unpaid workforce service and materials received, processed, and shipped.
- Create a safe workplace by modeling safe practices, enforcing safety rules, providing safety equipment, and remaining in compliance with ABR’s Safety Plan.
- Monitor equipment and maintenance.
- Supervise and work in a team of workers, operate stationary and moving equipment such as balers, sheers, conveyors, forklifts, and loaders.
- Communicate and work effectively with Recycling Directors.
- Be knowledgeable of, support and comply with agency policies and procedures including but not limited to: Fiscal Policies and Procedures, Workers’ Compensation, Employee Handbook, and Drug-Free Workplace Policies.
- Understand and support agency’s mission, purpose, and Strategic Plan.
- Must maintain confidentiality of client and employee records.
- Bargain and estimate.
- Demonstrate mechanical ability: able to perform light to heavy manual labor.
- Maintain confidentiality of all records.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Director.
Requirements
- Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License and insured personal vehicle available for work
- Must be insurable on ABCEOI’s fleet insurance policy.
- Must give written permission for review of current and past driving record prior to employment.
- Strong/clear communication skills.
- Ability to work both collaboratively with a team and individually.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and/or group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to deal with customers, public, and employees in a professional manner.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, discounts, interest, and percentages.
- Ability to estimate weights and to make arithmetical calculations using a pocket calculator.
- Ability to do basic time studies.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to deal effectively with staff, participants, other agencies, and the general public.
Education
- High school degree or equivalent.
Shift
1st Shift, Mon-Fri, with occasional Saturdays. Estimate 40 regular hours with occasional overtime as required.
Pay: $17-21/hour, based on experience
