Electrical Engineer | National Security & Defense

Location: Licking County
Schedule: Full-Time | Up to 5% Travel
Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship Required | Eligible for Top Secret Clearance

About the Role

Join a top-tier national defense and security contractor as an Electrical Engineer, responsible for the design, development, testing, and continuous improvement of advanced electronic systems used in mission-critical defense applications. You’ll work hands-on with analog and digital circuit design, test equipment, and system integration, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure products meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and security.

Your work will directly support technologies that protect lives, strengthen national defense, and advance American innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, analyze, and improve analog and digital electronic circuits
  • Develop, test, and maintain electronic hardware and test equipment
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure compliance and reliability
  • Support prototype builds, troubleshooting, and root-cause investigations
  • Prepare technical documentation and material specifications for sourcing and procurement
  • Contribute to firmware, embedded systems, and automation projects as needed
  • Ensure all designs meet defense, security, and contractual requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in electronics design and development
  • Proficiency with Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools such as Cadence or Mentor Graphics
  • Experience using MATLAB, MathCAD, or other technical computing software
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in LabVIEW, C programming, or firmware development is a plus
  • Project management or vendor coordination experience preferred
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain Top Secret security clearance
