Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare metal surfaces for painting through sanding, cleaning, and surface preparation techniques
- Perform hand sanding and dual-action (D-A) sanding to ensure proper coating adhesion
- Clean parts and surfaces using approved cleaning solutions and procedures
- Safely handle metal cleaning chemicals and materials
- Work from ladders and elevated platforms up to 8–10 feet when required
- Inspect surfaces to ensure they meet quality standards before painting
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Participate in cross-training opportunities to develop painting skills
- Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards
Required Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred
- Experience with hand tools and sanding equipment helpful but not required
- Ability to work comfortably at heights and on ladders for extended periods
- Ability to stand and use arms repetitively throughout the shift
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Team-oriented attitude and strong work ethic
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Compensation: $19.50/hr (Benefit Package Available)
