Press Operator | Newark, Ohio – Production

Location: Newark, Ohio
Schedule: Full-Time | 8 AM–4 PM, 4 PM–12 AM, 12 AM–8 AM | Overtime & weekends as needed
Pay: $20–$25 per hour, based on experience

About the Role

Join a fast-paced printing and production team as a Press Operator and play a critical role in finishing operations for high-quality label and printed materials. You’ll operate, set up, and maintain Mark Andy, KTI, and Martin Automatic equipment, ensuring every product meets exacting quality standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and perform manual and machine tasks for finishing operations.
  • Set up, run, and change over die cutter operations efficiently and accurately.
  • Inspect labels to ensure they are error-free and defect-free.
  • Perform first article and ongoing quality checks to maintain production standards.
  • Support the implementation of standard work, 5S, and mistake-proofing processes.
  • Work safely and promote established safety policies, reporting unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area through daily housekeeping tasks.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively across shifts.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2+ years in printing; flexographic experience highly preferred (wide web or offset experience considered).
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to troubleshoot and operate printing and finishing machinery.
  • Physical: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, bend, and move throughout the shift.
  • Skills: Strong time management, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
