Property Maintenance Technician
Pay: $17 - $25/hr
Overview
We’re seeking a dependable and skilled Property Maintenance Technician. This position is responsible for maintaining the appearance, functionality, and safety of residential and/or commercial properties through preventive maintenance, repairs, and upkeep. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, responds quickly to maintenance requests, and ensures our properties remain in top condition for residents, tenants, or guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
- Conduct regular property inspections to identify issues and perform preventive maintenance.
- Respond promptly to maintenance work orders and emergencies.
- Maintain landscaping, grounds, and common areas as needed (mowing, trimming, snow removal, debris cleanup).
- Paint, patch, and perform minor drywall repairs to keep properties looking their best.
- Troubleshoot and repair appliances, fixtures, doors, locks, and windows.
- Ensure tools, equipment, and maintenance areas are organized and properly maintained.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or large projects.
- Follow safety guidelines and building codes to maintain a secure environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1–3 years of experience in property or facilities maintenance preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor in various weather conditions.
