A Shop technician with diesel truck and tractor trailer experience typically works in a repair or maintenance facility (like a trucking company, dealership, or fleet maintenance shop) and is responsible for keeping heavy-duty vehicles in top shape. Here’s a breakdown of what they usually do: Main Responsibilities:

Diagnose issues in diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and electrical systems. Perform routine maintenance like oil changes, filter replacements, brake checks, tire rotations, etc. Repair or replace parts like turbos, injectors, clutches, transmissions, axles, or exhaust systems. Use diagnostic tools (like computer scan tools) to troubleshoot engine codes or system errors. Inspect trailers for DOT compliance and safety (lights, brakes, air systems, etc.). Document work done in maintenance records or shop management software. Collaborate with drivers to understand vehicle issues based on their reports. Here's What Makes YOU a Great Fit:

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH DIESEL TRUCKS AND TRACTOR TRAILERS able to physically do the work and meet physical requirements Must have reliable and timely transportation Good work ethic; punctual & dependable; take pride in your work Good teamwork and communication skills Steel toed boots recommended but not required Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

8 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday Experience:

Diesel: 1 year (Required) Tractor-trailer: 1 year (Required) Work Location: In person
