Warehouse Operations Manager / Distribution Manager (Multi-Site | Travel Required)
Job Type: Full-Time Industry: Warehousing, Distribution, Logistics Travel: Required (Multi-Facility Oversight)
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily warehouse operations across multiple distribution facilities
Supervise, train, coach, and evaluate warehouse supervisors, leads, and hourly staff
Ensure compliance with OSHA, safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards
Oversee shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, picking, packing, and inventory control
Maintain accurate inventory management, stock levels, transfers, and replenishment
Develop and implement warehouse processes, SOPs, and continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure on-time and accurate outbound shipments across all locations
Standardize warehouse workflows, safety practices, and quality standards
Monitor warehouse equipment usage and coordinate preventive maintenance
Analyze KPIs, productivity metrics, and operational data; prepare management reports
Lead safety programs, audits, and training across all warehouse locations
Travel between facilities to provide leadership, training, and operational support
Support hiring, performance management, and workforce planning
Maintain clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environments
Qualifications Education
Associate degree preferred
Equivalent combination of education and warehouse management experience accepted
Experience
5+ years of warehouse or distribution experience
2+ years of warehouse management or operations leadership experience
Multi-site warehouse or regional operations experience strongly preferred
Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership and team-building skills
Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or Yard Management Systems (YMS) experience
Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook proficiency
Forklift certification or experience preferred
Knowledge of inventory control, logistics, and supply chain operations
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to lift up to 45 lbs and work in warehouse environments
Training & Compliance
Must complete and maintain training in company systems, safety procedures, and operational standards
Ongoing training to support safety, efficiency, and compliance
