Job Type: Full-Time
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay: 75-100k base salary plus commission
Travel: 50%–100% in the Columbus area
We are seeking a motivated Technical Sales Representative to support corporate sales initiatives while delivering exceptional customer service. This role blends outside sales, technical sales support, and customer relationship management, making it ideal for candidates with strong communication skills and product knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and support corporate sales plans and sales objectives as directed by sales management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers and prospective accounts
- Provide customers with product information, application guidance, and technical support
- Identify customer needs and communicate product requirements and sales opportunities to management
- Maintain accurate documentation of sales calls, customer interactions, and account activity
- Complete electrical take-offs from drawings and schematics and submit information for pricing and quotations
- Process and enter customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Assist in resolving technical issues, application challenges, and customer concerns
- Address customer complaints promptly to ensure positive resolution and long-term customer satisfaction
- Communicate customer relationship issues to appropriate management levels
- Effectively prioritize multiple tasks, deadlines, and customer requests
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in sales, technical sales, customer service, or account management
- Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and manufacturer catalogs
- Solid product and application knowledge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and PC-based systems
- Experience with order entry and sales documentation
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Travel Requirement
50%–100% travel required, including customer site visits and field sales activities in the Columbus area.
