Job Title: Commercial and Residential Glass Installation Service Technician
Location: Sidney, Ohio
Schedule: Full-Time | 1st Shift
Pay Rate: $18.00+/hour Based on Experience

Skilled Glass Technician Wanted – Join a Growing Team in Sidney, Ohio!

Are you a hands-on professional with experience installing windows and glass? We’re hiring a Commercial and Residential Glass Window Installation Service Technician in Sidney, OH to handle a wide range of glass installation and repair projects. From home window replacements to commercial storefronts, your craftsmanship and service skills will shine!

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and replace glass windows, doors, storefronts, mirrors, and insulated glass units.
  • Interpret blueprints and job specs for proper glass fitting and framing.
  • Measure, cut, and shape glass to size using appropriate tools.
  • Apply glazing compounds, sealants, and adhesives with precision.
  • Operate hand and power tools safely (e.g., drills, grinders, glass cutters).
  • Handle materials with care to minimize breakage and ensure clean installations.
  • Work at heights or in awkward spaces using ladders, lifts, or scaffolding.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and complete jobs efficiently.
  • Travel locally as needed for job site installation or emergency repair work.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of glass or window installation experience (commercial and/or residential).
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in outdoor conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work flexible hours depending on project needs and travel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with aluminum storefront systems, tempered glass, and insulated window units.
  • Previous carpentry, glazing, or construction background.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols, fall protection, and glass-handling best practices.
  • OSHA 10 or other relevant safety certifications.
