Job Summary

​ We are seeking a skilled and experienced General Labour for its Stone Fabrication Operation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various fabrication techniques usually measuring, cutting, shaping, and polishing stone materials. You’ll work closely with the production team and clients to ensure each piece meets our high standards of quality and craftsmanship. ​

Duties

• Polish and grind stone slabs using a milling machine to achieve precise finishes and smooth surfaces.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure that all stone products meet the project specifications and are completed within designated timelines.
• Conduct thorough quality inspections on finished stone products to ensure they meet established standards and client requirements.
• Operate an overhead crane and JIB to safely move and position stone slabs, storing them securely on A-Frame buggies for optimal organization and access.
• Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment, promptly reporting any malfunctions or safety concerns to ensure continuous, efficient operations.
• Adhere to strict safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace to promote a safe and productive work environment. ​

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in a Stone Fabrication Facility or a similar environment, with a solid understanding of stone fabrication processes.
• Proven expertise in quality inspection, with a strong attention to detail to ensure that products meet the highest standards.
• Proficient in the use of hand tools and various fabrication techniques specific to stone work.
• Capable of safely lifting, maneuvering, and working with heavy stone slabs and materials, ensuring proper handling at all times.
• Comfortable working in a fabrication shop environment, with the ability to adapt to exposure to dust, noise, and heavy machinery.
