A major energy logistics operation in Hawaiʻi is hiring an IC&E Mechanic to support terminal and infrastructure systems statewide. This is a high-skill, union hourly role focused on electrical systems, instrumentation, automation, and industrial controls.

What You’ll Work On
Instrumentation
Install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain:
- Pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters
- Tank gauging systems (radar/servo)
- Gas detection & emergency shutdown (ESD) systems
- Pneumatic actuators, MOVs, solenoids
- P&IDs and loop diagrams
Electrical Systems
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot:
- 2.4kV & 480V switchgear and breakers
- Motor Control Centers (MCCs)
- Motor starters, overloads, VFDs
- Lighting panels, transformers, grounding systems
- Cathodic protection systems
- Perform lockout/tagout (LOTO) and verify zero-energy state
Control Systems
Support and troubleshoot:
- PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Triconex, GE RX3i)
- DeltaV DCS
- SCADA, RTUs, leak detection, and overfill protection systems
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
Use diagnostic tools such as:
- Multifunction calibrators (Fluke 754)
- Multimeters, loop testers, megohmmeters
- HART communicators
- Perform field and bench repairs
- Support commissioning, shutdowns, and emergency troubleshooting
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years industrial electrical or instrumentation experience
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and hazards
- Ability to read schematics, P&IDs, loop diagrams, and manuals
- Valid driver’s license with clean abstract
- Ability to obtain a TWIC card within 60 days
- Willingness to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Able to pass background check, physical, and drug screening
- Comfortable working in a safety-sensitive, 24/7 industrial environment
Preferred
- Journeyman Electrician or Contractor License
- Experience in terminals, refineries, fuel storage, or manufacturing environments
