About the Position

Key Responsibilities

• Position parts precisely on tables using fixtures or jibs, tacking when required
• Perform welding operations at ground level, above ground, and below ground in any required position
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Apply proper welding terminology and techniques
• Demonstrate high proficiency in all welding positions
• Maintain quality standards and workplace safety
• Complete projects according to specifications and timelines

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• Minimum 12 months of welding training or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proven welding experience in various positions and environments
• Math aptitude: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Capability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages
• Skill in drawing and interpreting bar graphs
• Knowledge of welding safety protocols and procedures
• Physical ability to maneuver and position welding materials
