A respected engineering and construction management team in Hawaiʻi is seeking a Project Engineer to support complex development and infrastructure projects across active job sites. This role plays a key part in coordinating engineering efforts, managing project documentation, and ensuring projects move forward according to scope, schedule, and budget.
You will work alongside experienced Project Managers, inspectors, contractors, and stakeholders, helping guide projects from planning through execution. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who wants to be hands-on with real projects, build leadership experience, and grow within Hawaiʻi’s construction and development industry.

Your Contribution & Impact
Project Coordination:
Support engineering and construction projects by coordinating technical tasks, project documentation, and project team communication.
Client & Contractor Collaboration:
Work closely with project managers, consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure project objectives are achieved.
Technical Documentation:
Review project drawings, specifications, contracts, and construction documentation for accuracy and compliance.
Project Scheduling:
Assist with project planning, scheduling coordination, and progress tracking using project management tools.
Contract Administration:
Support contract management by helping monitor project scope, obligations, and compliance with specifications.
Field & Team Coordination:
Work alongside inspectors and project staff to ensure milestones, schedules, and quality standards are maintained.
Attributes for Success
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management
- Professional Engineering (PE) license helpful but not required
- Knowledge of construction practices, building systems, and project site operations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat
- Experience with Primavera P6 and AutoCAD preferred
- Ability to read and interpret contracts, drawings, and construction specifications
- Strong communication, organization, and coordination skills
- Self-starter with strong follow-through and problem-solving ability
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 lbs
- Comfortable working outdoors and traveling to project sites as needed
