A well-established transportation and logistics company in Kapolei is hiring a skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician to support preventative maintenance and repair of fleet equipment. This role is ideal for an experienced mechanic who can diagnose complex issues, complete repairs independently, and support shop operations by assisting with scheduling and guiding other technicians.

Your Contribution & Impact

Fleet Repairs & Diagnostics:
Diagnose equipment issues using electronic and fuel diagnostics, disassemble and repair components, and return equipment to service.

Preventative Maintenance:
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on company-owned fleet equipment.

Welding & Fabrication:
Complete skilled welding repairs, including fabrication and rebuilding worn or broken parts.

Support Shop Leadership:
Assist lead mechanic with job scheduling and guide other technicians through repair processes.

Testing & Safety Recommendations:
Test repairs to ensure issues are resolved and recommend additional safety repairs when needed.

Documentation:
Maintain accurate written records of repairs and work performed.

Shop Organization:
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Attributes for Success

  • Associate’s Degree in automotive or heavy equipment preferred
  • ASE certifications required
  • Valid CDL A, CDL B, or Type 4 license
  • Strong mechanical knowledge across heavy fleet systems
  • Ability to diagnose and repair:
    • Air and hydraulic brake systems
    • Cooling systems
    • Drive train
    • Steering and suspension
    • Exhaust and emissions control
    • Electrical and hydraulic systems
    • Air systems
  • Comfortable reading technical manuals and wiring diagrams
  • Able to use diagnostic equipment, air tools, mechanized tools, and welding equipment
  • Must have basic set of personal tools
  • Strong decision-making and ability to work under pressure
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical shop work
