We’re hiring a Project Estimator / Engineer to help prepare cost estimates and bid proposals for commercial construction projects (with some high-end residential work). This role is ideal for someone with construction experience who is detail-oriented and enjoys working with plans, numbers, and project teams.
What You’ll Do
- Review plans, drawings, and specifications
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and project take-offs
- Write bid proposals and scope of work documents
- Track bid invitations, proposal logs, and bid schedules
- Create and track change orders for active projects
- Help review contracts, subcontracts, and RFIs
- Request pricing and assist with material purchasing
- Work with owners, architects, GCs, and project managers during bidding
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of construction experience (estimating experience preferred)
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar preferred but not required
- Ability to read construction plans and specifications
- Strong math and attention to detail
- Comfortable working on multiple projects at once
- Good communication and organizational skills
Software Experience (Preferred)
- Microsoft Word & Excel
- Estimating software (Sage/Timberline a plus)
- BlueBeam or Adobe
- AutoCAD or Revit helpful, not required
Work Environment
- Office-based with occasional jobsite visits
- Desk and computer work most of the day
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs as needed
