JOB TITLE: JANITOR – 1ST SHIFT FUNCTION: MAINTENANCE REPORTS TO: MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR LOCATION: WHITEHALL EAST POSITION TYPE: FULL TIME SCHEDULE: MONDAY – FRIDAY, 6 AM – 4 PM, OVERTIME AS REQUIRED HOURLY RATE: $20.50

Ornua is actively seeking a Janitor to join the Ornua Family as we continue our growth trajectory. This position will play a key role in cleaning, organizing, and making sure the facility is sanitary. The Janitor assists with the day-to-day cleaning of the organization, breakrooms, and locker room. A janitor must be able to perform duties with little supervision.

ESSENCIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Check soap dispensers. • Check Paper towel dispensers.
• Check toilet paper supply in every restroom. • Empty all waste baskets and ash trays. • Place trash in dumpster. • Wipe the handles on all the doors throughout the plant. • Use a disinfectant wash for each telephone receiver in the plant. • Sweep and mop the lunchrooms and locker rooms. • Clean and wipe off tables, counters, refrigerator and microwave in lunchroom. • Clean the stools and sinks and disinfect the showers. • Pick up around the dumpster area outside. • Sweep front & back stairway. Mop when needed. • Clean Dry Storage. • Take out empty boxes, etc. • Make sure the Mezzanine is swept and mopped regularly. • Wash windows in the lunchroom, outside doors, etc. • Empty garbage in shop. • The carts used to haul garbage should be washed out with soap and water, along with every other garbage container in the plant. • Walls in Lunch Room & Locker Room washed when needed. • Slow time pick up trash in production room, help out maintenance. • When you see any supplies getting low, please report it to the person in charge of ordering them. • Order supplies, toilet paper, soap, trash bags, etc. • Assign lockers to new employees and clean out lockers as needed when people leave. • Manage uniform orders • In the event of an accident where blood is involved, the Janitor will be required to clean and sanitize the area after he or she has had the required training.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent • Must be at least 18 years old • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. • Ability to communicate in English • Excellent verbal/written communication skills • Work as a member of a team • Time management skills • High attention to detail • Maintain excellent attendance • Confidentiality with all materials

Desired Qualifications • Solid work history • Prior food manufacturing experience • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety standards.

REQUIRED TRAINING

• Blood-borne Pathogens • Immunization shots • Chemical Spill procedures

PHYSICAL DEMANDS This role requires regular standing up to 10 consecutive hours, walking, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, climb ramps or stairs occasionally and lifting up to 60 pounds. Employees must be able to perform repetitive motions and safely operate equipment while following all safety and quality procedures.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT Work is performed in a food manufacturing facility with variable temperatures — cooler warehouse areas and warmer production zones. The environment includes exposure to moving equipment, moderate to loud noise levels, and required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes, hearing protection, gloves, and hairnets.
